FACULTY JOB OPENINGS

Faculty Appointment in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics

The Department of Physics at Harvard University invites applications from outstanding researchers and teachers for an assistant professor appointment in theoretical condensed matter physics. We are particularly interested in candidates working in soft condensed matter, quantitative biology and statistical physics. The search is aimed toward the assistant professor level, but we could consider other candidates with exceptional qualifications. The initial appointment as assistant professor for the academic year 2008-2009 would normally be for a term of five years, with promotion (to untenured associate professor and subsequently to tenured professor) possible for outstanding candidates. We are especially interested in receiving applications from, or information about, women and minority candidates.

Interested candidates should send a CV with publication list, a 1-2 page research and teaching plan, and relevant publications. Candidates should ask three referees to send professional evaluations to the address below. Please send applications to arrive before January 15, 2008 by regular mail to:

Junior Faculty Appointment in Theoretical Physics

Applications are invited from outstanding researchers and teachers for faculty appointments in theoretical high energy physics, broadly defined, at Harvard University. The initial appointment as an assistant professor for the academic year 2008-2009 is for a term of five years, with potential promotion to untenured associate professor and subsequently to tenured professor. We will also consider appointments at a more senior level. Applications should be sent by 15 January 2008 to:
