"CURIOSITY AS AN APPETITE OF THE MIND"

Thursday, November 7, 2019 @6:00PM
Science Center Hall C, One Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA 02138

In her new book The Weil Conjectures, Karen Olsson tells the story of the brilliant Weil siblings—Simone, a philosopher, mystic, and social activist, and André, an influential mathematician—while also recalling the years Olsson spent studying math at Harvard. A New York Times Book Review Editors’ Pick and a Paris Review Staff Pick, The Weil Conjectures is an elegant blend of biography and memoir and a meditation on the creative life.
