Prof. L. Mahadevan has been elected to receive the 2024 Weldon Memorial Prize.

The prize was founded in memory of W.R.F. Weldon, an English evolutionary biologist and a founder of biometry. It is awarded every year, without regard to nationality or membership of any university, to the person who in the judgment of the Electors has in recent years published the most noteworthy contribution to biometric science. The prizewinner receives a medal and is invited to give a lecture followed by a dinner in college that enables them to meet with the Weldon Electors and other Oxford researchers.
